Nestled along South African breathtaking Wild Coast, Inkwenkwezi Private Game Reserve is one of its own class big five private game reserves with an emphasis on luxury and thoughtful detail. 

Inkwenkwezi Private Game Reserve is situated in a prime malaria free zone in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. The reserve offers many unique opportunities as it encompasses five different regional eco-systems (biomes) and a tidal estuary. Inkwenkwezi‘s rich diversity of landscapes offers you an unparallel wildlife viewing experience.

It is a short distance away from magnificent beaches and a short convenient drive to and from the East London Airport.

THE HISTORY OF INKWENKWEZI PRIVATE GAME RESERVE

Inkwenkwezi, which translates from Xhosa to mean “under the stars”, grew out of a dream of the Umtata born Stanton brothers, Graham and Keith. Graham and Keith hail from farming stock from the Umtata area and, after completing their schooling at Umtata High School, started a dairy business - distributing milk and supplying vegetables and produce to local traders.

The Sunset Lapa

The Sunset Lapa situated amoungst the accomodation where you and your Family will enjoy breakfast during your stay with us. The area can also be utilised as a relaxation area where you could enjoy reading magazines and reading books at your own leasure.

VALLEY CAMP

Spacious and well-appointed, the Valley Camp offers luxury tented accommodation nestled in an intimate, leafy setting on the Wild Coast at Inkwenkwezi Private game Reserve.Snuggle down into an easy chair to watch the wildlife from the comfortable perch of your own timber viewing deck, or take a blissful bath in the slipper tub.All luxury Valley Camp tents are fitted with Cloud 9 mattresses, percale linens, air con, a stocked minibar, and a four-sided glass shower. 

The Valley Camp consists of 6 customs designed luxury tents accommodating 12 guests, one which has a kid's tent attached accommodating and extra 2 guests . Each custom built tent is positioned on its own elevated timber deck nestling between indigenous trees in absolute privacy . The  tents boast an inside sitting are as well as a covered and uncovered private viewing deck.

BUSH CAMP

The Bush Camp offers luxury accommodation for twelve guests in six en-suite safari tents. All tents have electric lights, twin beds with Cloud 9 mattresses, slatted headboards, bedside tables and bedside lamps, bedside mats, internal telephone, chest of drawers.

The en-suite bathrooms feature a shower, (hot and cold water) which is crafted to resemble a cave and blends with the natural rock and bush of this area. From its hilltop site the camp overlooks a valley & each safari tent is positioned on a raised timber deck offering you your own private game viewing. On the elevated timber deck guest are able to relax on two easy chairs with a coffee table.

Tents are furnished with twin three quarter beds (one tent has a queen size bed) all with cloud 9 mattresses and Percale linen. Headboards are trimmed with brass and have bedside tables and lamps as well as a matching dresser, 2 leather easy chairs and a butlers tray.  A bar fridge stocked with a variety of South African wine and malt as well as soft drinks.

The partially covered outside deck is large and has two easy chairs with a coffee table.
Guests at both the Valley Camp and the Bush Camp have tea and coffee making facilities .All tents have 3 roves, the inside roof has ventilation flaps to control the temperature, the second roof is the water proofing and the outside roof is used for shade and helps moderate the temperature. 

UMNENGA LODGE

Umnenga Lodge is situated 6km from Inkwenkwezi Private Game Reserve at Glen Eden and 1km from our pristine beaches . All roads to the establishment is tarred . Umnenga Lodge is ideal for accommodating tour groups.

Umnenga Lodge has 15 Twin rooms, 3 Double rooms, 1 Honeymoon Suite and 6 Single rooms.Meals ( breakfast , lunch and dinner ) can be enjoyed from one of the venues i.e. Emthombeni Restaurant, The Sunset Lapa, Umnenga Lodge or Chinsta Bay Restaurant.

For larger groups Umnenga Lodge’ provides charming lodging and opportunities for visiting the beach, fishing, and swimming on the Wild Coast.If you supply us with your invited guests’ email or postal addresses, we will gladly assist them with accommodation arrangements at our establishment at extra special prices.

CHINTSA SANDS GUEST HOUSE

 Chintsa Sands Guesthouse is situated 4km from Inkwenkwezi Private Game Reserve at Chintsa West only 50 meters from the beach. Chintsa Sands Guests house offers 5 rooms, each and with an en-suite bathroom, tea and coffee facilities, communal lounge with television and televisons in all rooms.

The guest house consists out of 2 Double Rooms and 3 Family Rooms, each sleeps 4 guests.

Chintsa Sands also ideal for accommodating smaller tour groups that would like a closer stay to the beach.

The guest house consists of 4 x Double Rooms of which two have double bunks in each and 1x twin room with a double bunk. Chinsta Bay restaurant is situated just above the guest house where meals are available.

Guests can book separately for tours e.g Game drives, horse riding, quad biking, canoeing, mountain biking, elephant interaction and elephant walks directly with Inkwenkwezi.
