Every year the Humpback and Southern Right whales arrive off the coast of South Africa, around June they are expected to put in an appearance while on their annual migration north up the coast of both east and west Africa.
Situated on the south eastern coast of Africa we are privileged to be able to view these colossal cetaceans travelling close to our shores.
We are immensely grateful to be able to walk out onto our deck and view these often playful creatures as they pass, first in a northerly direction and then back again in the summer as they make their way back to their ancestral feeding grounds in the Southern Ocean and Antarctica.
The longest migration of any mammal on the planet.
