Bloemendal self-catering cottage is situated in a quiet part of the quaint village of Riebeek Kasteel, about 1,5 hours drive from Cape Town.

The tastefully decorated home is a tranquil haven with cool, restful colours, complemented by original art works from the owner's gallery.The cottage is very well appointed and ideal for self-catering stays of any length, whether you are treating yourself to a night away, a weekend or a holiday in the beautiful surroundings of the Riebeek Valley.

The first feature you encounter is a long, generous veranda with an 8-seater wrought iron table, a fireplace serving as a braai and outside fire, large enough to enjoy a chilly winter's night. It also has a couch ideal for lounging, with your feet on a antique leather case as you watch the world go by.

The entrance from the stoep to the big open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen are wide stacking doors, creating an inside/outside flow.

The lounge is furnished with deep, comfortable couches and has a flat screen TV and DVD player (DSTV decoder available; bring you own card) and a large fireplace for those cold winter nights. The 8-seater dining room table affords another opportunity for family and friends to enjoy a meal together, perhaps prepared in the very well equipped kitchen adjacent. The kitchen has a gas hob with electric oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee machine, besides all the usual accessories and utilities you would expect in your own home. There is a washing machine and dishwasher in the scullery next to the kitchen.

All the indoor spaces are double insulated and fitted with ceiling fans, making it very cool in summer.

The self-catering accommodation offers two bedrooms, both with queen size, extra-length double beds, fitted with quality linen and fluffy pillows.

The main bedroom has double doors onto the stoep and an en suite bathroom with both shower and bath. The second bedroom also has double doors leading to the back garden and the use of the second bathroom with a shower.
