Dieu Donne
Dieu Donne, Stellenbosch is a self catering Boutique Guest House in the Winelands of the Western Cape. Based on a farm on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountains, it is surrounded by vineyards as far as the eye can see. The views are breathtaking in this peaceful setting, across to Table Mountain in the west and over False Bay to the south.
Dieu Donne was previously voted one of SA's 'best farm stays' in the AA awards. Resident owners Michelle and Andrew and their team provide guests with friendly personal attention.
The tranquil setting offers a relaxing stay in the Winelands of the Western Cape. There is easy access to numerous exceptional wine farms and restaurants in the immediate area. The environment is safe and secure with guests being able to do long walks around the vineyards or explore the countryside on a Mountain bike.
The accommodation currently offers fully serviced 2 bedroom self-catering units of the highest standards. Each Unit is well appointed with a lounge, small dining area, kitchen facilities and en-suite bathrooms. Cable TV, Wi-Fi, Under-floor heating and Braai facilities are offered. A fully equipped laundry is also available for the exclusive use of guests.
Map and Directions to Dieu Donne
- Take the N2 from Cape Town / Airport towards Somerset West. Take the Somerset West / Strand / R44 off-ramp to the left.
- Turn Left at the top of the bridge. Drive north on the R44 towards Stellenbosch. You will pass the Waterstone Shopping Centre and Lord Charles Hotel on your left.
- Continue on the R44 and after a few kilometres you will pass Avontuur Wine Estate on your right and the turning to Winery Road on your left.
- You will then pass a restaurant/butcher on your left called Sweetwell. Move to the right of the double carriage road. There will be a sign for Eikendal Road on your left as well as a sign for Longridge / Lushof / Grangehurst. ( Due to road works being completed not all the signs may be displayed ).
- Immediately before Eikendal Wine Estate on your right and with Cavali Equestrian Estate on your left take the slipway and turn right across the R44 into Eikendal Road.
- Eikendal Road is currently under renovation and the first kilometre has now been tarred. There is also a dead-end sign at the entrance to the road.
- You will drive all the way towards the mountain for about 1.5 km and soon after the tar road becomes a dirt road there is a left / right bend which leads onto a narrow tar road.
- Keep driving towards the mountain and you will come to Dieu Donne which is the first building on your left hand side.
