At the top of Swellendam main road you’ll see the jewel of the town’s historic buildings: The Drostdy. Behind this complex our Guesthouse-Restaurant with 12 well priced rooms, pool and lush garden is located, the views on the Langeberg Mountains are breathtaking.

Roosje van de Kaap consists of rooms in different price categories, breakfast is included and served in the restaurant where guests can enjoy a candlelight a' la carte dinner, as well. All rooms and public areas have free internet access and room prices include breakfast; children below 10 years stay for free. In the lounge, guests can read books or watch a movie on a large screen television. When the weather is warm, guests can retreat to the pool. The restaurant is a local gem in an historical stable, overlooking the Drostdy building. The restaurant is offering a distinctive country menu in a candle light setting. One can expect an innovative mix of courses including sole, pan-seared fillet of beef or ostrich with a classic French reduction and Cape Malay fare.
